Four-day private course for adults. In the company of a specialist in experimental archaeology, learn and practice the skills to craft traditional archery equipment from natural raw materials to produce a bow and two arrows.
Note that crafting a bow is a relatively long, arduous and meticulous process. This course requires a good physical condition and manual dexterity. The bow made during this course is a durable instrument of suitable caliber for practice or hunting.

Flint knapping and lithic tools
Private classes for adults with a specialist in experimental archaeology. Learn and practice the skills of flint knapping to produce a variety of sharp tools in prehistoric fashion.

Montreal 150$ + taxes / class (materials and tools included) Each course is one day. You can take a single class or the series of three. Course 1 is required for courses 2 and 3. Course 1: Learn and practice the skills of percussion and pressure flaking to craft simple tools (bifaces, scrapers). Course 2: Thinning and hafting techniques to make projectile points (arrows, darts). Course 3: Experiment with Onondaga chert and learn to make specialized tools for wood and bone work. |

Introduction to prehistoric pottery
Two-day practical course for adults with specialists in experimental archaeology. Learn and practice the skills of prehistoric pottery by preparing clay, handcrafting objects with simple tools and firing them in an open fire. Each participant leaves with his crafts.
